Hagedorn has been manufacturing Nitrocellulose products in Germany for over a century. The Nitrocellulose products are manufactured at their facility in Lingen, Germany. Hagedorn’s nitrocellulose is made in an environmentally friendly manner to conserve natural resources. Brief descriptions of the damped and plasticized nitrocellulose versions are provided below.
Damped Nitrocellulose
Available in a wide product range of high quality Nitrocellulose with a maximum nitrogen content of 12.6%, suitable for a variety of industrial applications. Advantages of damped nitrocellulose include:
- Rapid drying
- Uncritical application in the food industry
- Accentuating the grain with wood lacquers
Filo’s extended product range is unique and includes different viscosities, damping agents and various packaging types and sizes. Additionally, your individual demands of the viscosity level will be met where possible. The following Damping Agents are available:
- Ethanol
- Iso-Propanol
- Butanol
- Water
Plasticized Nitrocellulose
Plasticized Nitrocellulose is usable in monosolvent systems and systems that are not compatible with water or alcohol. Further advantages apply to formulations that require a high flash point. By adding phthalate-free plasticizers and the subsequent drying of Nitrocellulose, this material can be offered in a plasticized form. Advantages of plasticized nitrocellulose include:
- Low water content
- Increased bulk weight
- Better dosage
Filo’s Plasticized Nitrocellulose product range is unique and includes several plasticizer options and various packaging types and sizes. Additionally, all NC-Types are also available as non-pigmented NC-Chips. The following Plasticizers are available:
- ATBC
- SAIB
- EPO
- Nepplast / PU
Other phthalate-free plasticizers can be made to meet your needs.
